Meyaadha Maan trailer: Vaibhav plays the role of Idhayam Murali in the film.

The trailer for Meyaadha Maan, produced by Karthik Subbaraj and starring Vaibhav and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles, was released online on Saturday by Surya. Vaibhav plays Idhayam Murali and Priya plays the part of the girl he falls in love with. Just like in Murali’s super hit film Idhayam, Vaibhav’s character, Murali, also doesn’t confess his feelings to the girl he loves and hence the prefix to his name. However, this film doesn’t set a serious tone.

Directed by Rathna Kumar, the film is the first production under Karthik Subbaraj’s banner Stone Bench Films. In the film, Idhayam Murali is a performer who sings kuthu (a music genre) songs. It looks like he plays the quintessential soup boy, which is crystal clear when he expresses his sad feelings to a dog.

Murali notices everything about the girl that he is in love with, but has failed to tell her how he feels, much to the annoyance of his friends. Priya, who gained popularity after her role in the daily soap, Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai, is making her debut in the Tamil film industry. Her character in the film begins to detest Murali’s moping.

Idhayam Murali’s sister is going to be delight to watch. Be it when she is ready to fight with other ladies from the neighbourhood near the water tank or when her bond with Idhayam Murali. This fun urban rom-com could be a good break from all the action and rural drama-themed films that are set to come out this Diwali.

Meyaadha Maan is slated to release on October 18. The music is going to be mostly kuthu, and Anthony Dasan’s voice fit the bill perfectly for the song Thangachi, which was released on Raksha Bandhan. The music is composed by Pradeep Kumar and Santhosh Narayanan.
