Actor Silambarasan aka will, in all likelihood, work with filmmaker Ameer Sultan for a yet-untitled Tamil rural drama.

The actor is currently busy with Tamil projects, Atcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and Kaan.

"Both and Ameer are in talks for a rural-based subject. Both of them are interested to team up, but it will take time for the project to get on floors as Simbu is busy with two films and has one more project in his kitty," said a source.

Anirudh Ravichander has been approached to compose tunes for this project.

Meanwhile, Simbu's much-delayed Tamil project Kettavan has been shelved. He had penned the story of the film.

"There were plans of reviving it, but not anymore. The project has been shelved," the source confirmed.

Simbu is currently awaiting the release of Tamil actioner Vaalu and Idhu Namma Aalu.
