Varuj Tej and Raashi Khanna’s upcoming film Tholi Prema will release on February 2.

“Memories stay with you, irrespective of whether they are good or bad,” says Varun Tej’s character in the film. The memories that haunt him are of Varsha’s (Raashi Khanna). She is the girl that he met in the train and the one who changed his life. He falls in love with her, but she gets off at her station and life goes on. Imagine his surprise when they coincidentally meet at a later point in life - happiness would be an understatement to explain his emotion.

In the 1: 50 minute trailer, we see romance, song and dance and more. We also see that at some point, their relationship starts to disintegrate. Varun Tej’s character is not able to move on as he is haunted by his memories of the two of them. He is in London now, much farther away from where he met Varsha, but it doesn’t seem to matter.

And then, he meets her again. What happens afterwards would be interesting. This doesn’t look like the usual romance drama, and the way director Venky Atluri had homed in on the complexities of a relationship between two individuals has intrigued me.

We see that his anger has played a role in their corroded relationship, it is easy enough to guess that from the trailer. Yet, with stunning visuals and music, I want to know Varsha’s story. This film, bankrolled by Dil Raju, is slated to release on February 10. The film also stars Suhasini Maniratnam, Priyadarshi, Vidyullekha Raman and Viva Harsha in pivotal roles.
