JD (U) mulls contesting few Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand

The Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday said it is contemplating to contest a few Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand.

Party chief whip in Bihar and in-charge of Jharkhand Ram Sevak Singh said the JD (U) has entered into pre-poll alliance in Bihar and the party is free to take its decision in Jharkhand.
Singh said the party workers want to contest a few seats and informed that he would communicate it to the party president Nitish Kumar on his return to Patna.
“We are prepared and have identified four to five seats where we can field our candidates to test the poll waters in Jharkhand,” he said.
