France extend Forget's Davis Cup contract until 2012

"After leading Les Bleus to the Davis Cup final in 2010, Guy Forget has been confirmed as captain for the next two years," the French Tennis Federation said in a statement today.

France have extended Guy Forget's contract as Davis Cup captain until 2012 after he guided the country to the runners-up spot this year.

"After leading Les Bleus to the Davis Cup final in 2010, Guy Forget has been confirmed as captain for the next two years," the French Tennis Federation said in a statement on Saturday.

Forget took charge in 1999 and under his guidance, France won the 2001 final.

They were defeated 3-2 by Serbia in Belgrade in this year's final.

France have been drawn away to Austria in the first round of the 2011 edition.
