Henin out of Sydney Open due to injury

Justine Henin has injured her left leg in a Brisbane International final loss to Kim Clijsters, a setback in her return to the tour ahead of the Australian Open. Henin withdrew late Saturday from the Sydney International.

The 27-year-old Belgian said she'd strained her upper left leg. She didn't expect it to be serious and said she was withdrawing from Sydney to rest ahead of the season's first major starting Jan. 18 in Melbourne.
