The FPAI, with Bhaichung Bhutia as president, has sought AIFF president Praful Patel’s intervention, hoping he would deliver “a just decision.”

Naik and Gawli, both Dempo players, have served India “with sincerity and commitment for over a decade”, a FPAI release said. AIFF has given Dempo till Monday to reply why action shouldn’t be taken against them.
