Iker Casillas will be leading the favourites. The Euro 2008 champions are the team to beat in this edition, a fact that no doubt will add further pressure to the La Furia Roja ranks. Now with Casillas at his last World Cup, lifting the trophy would be the ideal way to put an end to a sterling career.
Few will expect the tiny nation to cause an upset but Alexandre Frei's side is not one which should be written off. The wealth of experience in the forms of Senderos, Barnetta and Behrami will no doubt add to Frei's own goal scoring abilities. His aim will be to test the Spanish defence.
