On Monday, more than 12 lakh people in Haryana exercised their right to vote, the result of which will decide the fate of 54 candidates contesting from Gurgaon, Sohna, Badshahpur and Pataudi, the four constituencies in Haryana. The voting for assembly elections concluded at 6 pm. Now the TV channels are announcing exit poll results. In order to conduct a fair elections, 1,172 polling booths were set up across Haryana.For a smooth and hassle free voting, as many as 1,407 officials were deployed in these booths. Apart from that, additional staff of 619 officials were also on stand by to ensure smooth proceedings during Haryana Assembly elections 2019.Right now, all eyes are on exit poll predictions based on responses of the people who have cast their votes. Hailing from a political family of south Haryana, cabinet minister Rao Narbir Singh joined BJP in 2011. The three-time MLA successfully contested legislative elections from Jatusana in 1987 and Sohna in 1996. He won as a BJP candidate from Badshahpur during the 2014 polls.

According to the police, the victim’s family said that he died of electrocution and alleged negligence on part of his employer, but a case was registered against unknown persons as the autopsy report was still awaited.

According to the police, the girl was walking alone to a temple on July 11 around 10am, when the suspect, who stays in the same village as the girl, started hurling abuse at her. When she ignored him, he threatened to throw acid on her.

The cut on Sohna Road— which was opened on Wednesday — will allow commuters to avoid passing through the barricaded stretch between Central Park 2 and JMD Megapolis and take a turn to head directly towards sectors 49 and 50. As a result, travel time will be reduced by more than 10 minutes.
