Illegal occupation of NRI’s property: Chandigarh police widen probe into interstate nexus, 8 arrested

The investigation has uncovered an interstate nexus, with the accused involved in illegal occupations of other properties near the border areas of Chandigarh, including Jalandhar, Gurgaon, and Ludhiana. They specifically targeted NRI properties, exploiting the fact that these properties were often less monitored and more vulnerable to illegal occupation.

ITBP truck claims female scooterist’s life in Chandigarh

The victim, identified as Shivani, was a resident of Baltana and worked at IT Park, Chandigarh; according to police, Shivani was riding her Honda Activa around 8.30 pm, when the truck rammed into the two-wheeler and ran over her, killing her on the spot
