India’s Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) recently seized 350,000 tablets of potent medicines, such as Diazepam, Tramadol and Zopiclone, destined for the UK, Europe and the US, Britain’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said on Thursday.

Cannabis weighing 842 kg and worth Rs 1.26 crore was seized in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh and two persons arrested in this connection. Based on intelligence that narcotics were being illegally transported, DRI sleuths intercepted a cargo vehicle on NH-16 in Vijayawada and seized the drugs.
