Forest officials from the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) seized 2kg wild boar meat, two air guns and a rifle from a house in Chena village, Yeoor range, on Tuesday morning.

Leopard cub sneaks into Shimla, rescued by forest officials

The leopard cub was hiding under a parked car and police were informed who then called forests officials. The rescue team reached the spot and captured the cub using a net instead of a tranquiliser gun and took it to Tuti Kandi rescue and rehabilitation centre.

A veterinary doctor will examine the cub at Tuti Kandi and subsequently, it will be released in its natural habitat.(ANI/Twitter)

Explosives kill chital, forest officials on vigil

The incident near Bail Padao in Haldwani tehsil prompted forest department officials to search for such objects that could be kept in jungles.
