Elephant killed by three tigers in Bandhavgarh

Sub-divisional officer of forest Panpatha core of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, L Bharti, said, “The one-and-a-half-year-old calf of elephant got distracted from the herd while drinking water. At least three tigers, as per pug marks found on the spot, attacked it and killed the calf.”

Leopard cub sneaks into Shimla, rescued by forest officials

The leopard cub was hiding under a parked car and police were informed who then called forests officials. The rescue team reached the spot and captured the cub using a net instead of a tranquiliser gun and took it to Tuti Kandi rescue and rehabilitation centre.

A veterinary doctor will examine the cub at Tuti Kandi and subsequently, it will be released in its natural habitat.(ANI/Twitter)
