Turkish parliament approves peacekeepers for Azerbaijan

In a show of hands, legislators voted in favor of a one-year mandate allowing the government to send troops to Azerbaijan, where they would observe possible violations of the truce from a joint Turkish-Russian monitoring center.

Thousands in Armenia protest Nagorno-Karabakh truce terms

The truce between the two ex-Soviet nations, brokered by Moscow and announced early Tuesday. The agreement was celebrated in Azerbaijan, but it angered Armenians, who immediately took to the streets demanding that the pact be invalidated.

Armenian shelling on city overnight leaves seven dead: Azerbaijan

A “new nightly missile attack by Armenian forces on (a) residential area of Ganja,” left seven dead and 33 wounded including children, Azerbaijan’s foreign ministry wrote on Twitter.

Azerbaijan and Armenia reject peace talks as Karabakh conflict zone widens

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, speaking to Russian state TV, flatly ruled out any possibility of talks. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told the same channel that talks could not take place while fighting continued.
