SC calls for charge sheets in Palghar lynching case to be produced before it

Palghar lynching case accused tests positive for Covid-19, 43 others to be screened

The accused is a resident of Divshi-Wakipada in Dahanu town of Palghar district, Maharashtra. He was arrested by the Kasa police on April 17.
The swab test of the accused was taken on April 28 which tested negative. On Saturday morning, another test was done which turned out positive for Covid-19.(Amal KS/HT PHOTO)

Palghar lynching accused tests positive for Covid-19

The accused was first admitted in an isolation ward at Palghar rural hospital and is now being shifted to a prisoner ward at JJ Hospital.
The accused is believed to have contracted the infection as nearly 20 accused were reportedly lodged in a single cell.(ANI)
