Panchkula MC chief denies sewage spillage in Sukhna lake

He submitted that in order to stop the flow of sewage into Sukhna, the MC has constructed four check dams on the drain that holds the wastewater to ensure that it did not flow into the lake.
Earlier, the MC was planning the process with National Informatics Centre (NIC), which did not yield any results. But now the work related to establishments, including billing, work orders, audits, engineering files and documents with tendering process will be done on e-office.(HT File)

MC commissioner-cum-administrator Rajesh Jogpal said all the files will be moved in electronic mode right from the first official to highest decision-making authority with digital signatures.

Panchkula MC to fine pet dog owners for open defecation from August 1

MC commissioner-cum-administrator Rajesh Jogpal said the civic body will impose a penalty every time a pet owner is found allowing dog to poop in the open areas such as roads, parks, footpaths. He said Rs 500 fine is to be paid for the first time, while it will keep increasing during next violations.
