Man arrested with ‘ice drug’ in Ferozepur

A man was arrested with 220gm of 'ice drug' in Ferozepur. The drug was smuggled from Pakistan through a drone. The Punjab employment generation, skill development and training minister directed officials to ensure optimum utilization of Multi Skill Development Centers. Around 25 lakh bovines will be vaccinated against lumpy skin disease starting from February 25.

Intranasal Covid-19 vaccine sees low response on Day 1

Mumbai's rollout of the intranasal Covid-19 vaccine saw a low response on the first day with only 23 senior citizens taking the booster dose. The vaccine, iNCOVACC by Bharat Biotech, will be administered to those above the age of 60 and eligible six months after their second dose of either Covishield or Covaxin. The state health department recently procured 2 lakh doses, of which BMC procured around 2,000 doses. The vaccine will be given through spot registration at 24 centres across Mumbai.

BMC to roll out intranasal Covid vaccine for senior citizens

Vaccination for 12-15 age group to kick-start today

Inoculation of children against Covid-19 in the 12-15 age cohort will begin on Wednesday and initially take place only at government vaccination centres across India till Biological E, the maker of Corbevax, announces the price of its vaccine for the private sector.

Covid-19 vaccination will be open for all children born on or before March 15, 2010, the government said in its guidelines issued on Tuesday. (PTI)

Centre asks states, UTs to ramp up 2nd Covid vaccine dose coverage for teenagers

As many as 4,83,60,117 teenagers have so far been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India, of which, 11,28,099 have received both shots. Notably, India began vaccinating people aged above 15 from January 3 onwards.

41 lakh teens jabbed as vaccines open for young adults; PM, Mandaviya hail feat

According to data from the Co-WIN portal’s dashboard, 41,27,468 doses of the vaccine were administered to those in the age group as of 9.30pm.

Student absenteeism in Maharashtra turns hurdle in measles-rubella vaccination drive

The state education department on Thursday asked officials across the state to address student absenteeism during the measles-rubella (MR) vaccination drive, as per the Centre’s directives, which started on November 27 to ensure 100% coverage across all schools.

Dr Chandrashekhar Chiplunkar, assistant health officer, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), said of the 5,98,687 children who were supposed to be vaccinated as on December 6, 4,29,994 (71.8%) were vaccinated.
