Boyfriend caught doing medical tasks:

The nurse worked at Singde Brain Blood Vessel Hospital, a privately run medical facility in Qingdao, Shandong province. Images first appeared online on January 2 and were widely shared within hours.

The videos showed the nurse’s boyfriend inside the hospital during night duty hours.

He appeared in several videos wearing different clothes, suggesting he had been present on more than one occasion.

Images showed him writing patient reports at the nurses’ station, using hospital computers, preparing medicines, and sorting intravenous (IV) bags.

The nurse reportedly described him as her “night-shift buddy” and appeared to be showing how he supported her while she worked evenings. However, many viewers reacted with anger and concern.

Patient safety concerns spark action:

Social media users questioned how an untrained person could be allowed to handle medical work. Some warned that mistakes involving reports or IV bags could put patients’ lives at risk.

Hospital officials confirmed they were aware of the incident and had started an investigation.

Soon after, the Qingdao municipal health commission announced that the nurse had been suspended for violating workplace rules.

The incident has sparked a heated online debate. Calls for stronger hospital supervision and stricter safety checks have continued to grow.
