Meta’s Instagram rolled out the new text-based Threads app on July 5. Dubbed as ‘Twitter killer’, this competitor app saw millions of registrations just within a few hours of its launch. Besides creating a chatter among netizens, the launch Threads has also added fuel to the much-talked ‘cage fight’ between Twitter owner Elon Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Expectedly, many are taking to social media to share their opinions about the whole matter and one such post came from a parody account called ‘Elon Musk (Parody)’. The tweet captured the attention of many, including Elon Musk who shared a reply too.
What is the tweet from the parody account all about?
“I spent $44 billion for this app and now Lizard boy just decided to hit copy and paste. It’s personal now. See you in the cage, Zuck,” reads the post shared a day ago on July 7. The post talks about how Threads has functions and looks quite similar to Twitter. It also takes a dig at the ‘cage-fight’ between the two tech titans. The other tweets shared by the parody account often refer to Zuckerberg as ‘Lizard boy’ instead of his name.
