An Indian-origin man shared the clip with a shocked emoji and clarified that the scene was from an American home, cautioning viewers not to mistake it for India.
Instagram user Mohammad Anas, whose bio says he helps students “move, settle and succeed in the USA,” shared the video. The video opens with a text insert that reads, “Not India, this is USA” with a shocked emoji.

People were unhappy with the video and didn’t hold back while expressing their anger. Many questioned why the comparison with India and if hanging clothes in the backyard is “wrong”.
