A local shop in Taiwan has captured the attention of people from all over the world after videos and images of their latest ramen dish went viral. The place is serving a bowl of ramen noodles topped with a crocodile leg. Let that sink in!

The Taiwanese eatery Nu Wu Mao Kuei also shared several videos on their Facebook page advertising their new dish. In one such post they explained that this is their new dish that is available on pre-order. They also added that they have other types of ramen soups for those who don’t want to try the dish with the crocodile leg.

Here is a video they shared that shows a woman enjoying and reviewing the dish. The video opens to show a big bowl of soup kept in front of the woman. At first she keeps aside the crocodile leg and tries the other ingredients in the dish. Once done, she tries the main attraction.

About the dish

The shop’s owner explained that the crocodiles are bought from a farm in Taitung, reports Yahoo. The ramen dish contains the usual toppings including eggs, bamboo shoots, and baby corn, other than the special attraction - the crocodile leg. Apparently, the dish also contains over 40 spices. The dish is priced at 1,500 New Taiwan dollars (approximately $48) per bowl. The dish is also being referred to as ‘Godzilla ramen’ by many.

It didn’t take long for people to express their opinions about the dish. A Twitter user shared, “Yeah nah.” Another person added, “Don't think so.” A third expressed, “Just in time to put you off your lunch.” A fourth wrote, “Ramen and Godzilla, two of my favourite things!”
