Bollywood on Alexandre’s mind!

He has made international celebrities such as Madonna, Britney Spears and Pussycat Dolls dance to his steps. And now, Emmy nominated Brazilian choreographer-director Alexandre Magno is all excited about his stint on the upcoming season of dance-based reality show, Dance India Dance.

“I’ve been following the show since season one on the web. The show’s stature, talent and choreography is amazing, and that’s what attracted me to be a part of it,” he says, adding, “When I learnt that the team is coming back with the third season, I approached them and expressed my desire to be a part of it. I was approached by the channel, and here I am.”

So what exactly will be his role?

“My work will be to train the contestants. I will be teaching them techniques and also work on their confidence and stamina,” says Magno, who is fascinated by Bollywood dance form.

“I find the whole dancing scene in Hindi films very appealing and amazing. I agreed to this show because I wanted to learn about Bollywood. And I would love to direct and choreograph a Hindi film,” says Magno, whose favourite dancer is Madonna. “Her approach to dance is awesome,” he says.
