Shopping, she says, is a stress-buster. But her mum is fed up of the overstuffed cupboards and keeps advising Desai to start saving money.. in vain.

Desai had a tough time convincing her parents about her role in Woh Rehenewaali.. she plays a tawaif in the Sahara One daily. Her mom and dad disapproved, worried about the image it would create.

But later, they heaved a sigh of relief when the production house, Rajshri, assured them that the character would be respectfully projected.
