We realise there is nothing that can ease the pain of a late season of Game of Thrones but here’s something for you anyway. The cast and crew have begun assembling in Belfast, the shoot headquarters of the hit fantasy drama, and there are pictures for proof.
Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, John Bradley, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Pilou Asbæk, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Iain Glen, Jacob Anderson and Kristofer Hivju were all spotted at the Belfast airport and shopping around town. Instagram user @ketel_cat has posted several pictures of the cast on her private account which have landed on Twitter fan accounts of the series.
There is Nikolaj (Jaime Lannister) in a beret with Pilou (Euron Greyjoy); Iain (Ser Jorah Mormont) in a blue shirt and jacket, rushing around the airport; Isaac (Bran Stark) laughing with Jacob (Greyworm); and a very alive Kristofer (Tormund Giantsbane) with Ben Crompton (Dolorus Edd). She also shared a selfie with John (Samwell Tarly), even as the stars are told not to click one with fans.
Emilia (Daenerys Targaryen) was seen with her very real blonde hair running behind Kit (Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen) at the airport. They were spotted together again in the streets of Belfast with John, clicked with their backs to the camera.
Sophie (Sansa Stark) and Maisie (Arya Stark) were spotted walking around together. Sophie has gone back to her red hair after dying it back to her natural blonde last season and wearing wigs for the first time.

The production on the eight season has begun but will still not be complete in time to release next year in 2018. HBO is looking at a tentative release date in summer 2019 but there has been no official word yet. Season eight will have six longer than usual episodes which will tie up the popular series together.
