He was last seen on Indian television in the TV movie Cheetah Girls: One World. Right now, Michael Steger is in the TV series 90210 in which his character rescues a drug addict. “I help her get over her addiction.. and fall in love with her too,” he says.

The Star World youth drama is a sequel of sorts to the hugely popular Beverly Hills 90210 of the 1990s.
Steger says that he was a huge fan of the cult classic: “I had apprehensions before we started shooting. But
once we were done with the pilot, I was comfortable.”

Steger, probably because of his dark hair and eyes, usually portrays Asian characters. He played an NRI in Cheetah Girls: One World. “I’ve played Spanish, Indian and Italian guys. So you can’t say I only play Asians,” he laughs.
Speaking about Asians, he gushes about India.. especially Mumbai. He’d love to come over again.. all he needs is a call.
“It’s eight degrees here right now. I’m told Mumbai is sunny. The architecture and monuments are so rich and refined there. It’s like taking a trip back in time. I’m itching to be back in Mumbai.”

Steger, a fan of Hrithik Roshan, is often told that he looks like the actor. “I love watching Hindi movies.. I follow little of the language though.

“I’d love to work with Hrithik Roshan some time. I also enjoyed that Shah Rukh Khan movie in which he trains a girls’ hockey team (Chak De! India).”

Steger recently got engaged to actress Brandee Tucker.. but no personal questions, please.
