Krushna Abhishek feels he has not got what he deserves yet. The actor-comedian has been part of successful comedy shows such as Comedy Nights Bachao, Comedy Classes and Comedy Circus, and is currently preparing for his new comedy show, The Drama Company, but he doesn’t seem to be satisfied with his level of success in the film industry.

Krushna feels while he has a standing in films it isn’t at the level he deserves.

“I haven’t got my due; maybe in TV, but surely not in films,” he says. “I am one of the top 10 faces on TV, but I should have got more films. I want to do films; I would like to do a serious film. I did a big film like Bol Bachchan (2012), in which I had the biggest role after Ajay (Devgn) and Abhishek (Bachchan). I did Entertainment (2014) with Akshay (Kumar), and I was nominated at many award shows too. I should get more films with big directors who understand me, like Rohit Shetty. I want people to cast me in films. While I have got a standing in films, it isn’t at the level I deserve. I am not a stand-up comedian; I’m an actor. I want to work as an actor.”

Speaking about how success has changed him over the years, he says, “My career started as a dancer in Nach Baliye, and I then participated in Comedy Circus, which also had Kapil Sharma and Bharti Singh. A few years later, I was the star of my shows, which included Comedy Nights Bachao and Comedy Nights Live. There can’t be a bigger career leap than becoming the face of a show. It is a blessing that I have reached this stage in my career. I was the driver of these shows. Today, there is huge competition on television, and if I am able to stand out, then it is a big deal.”
