TV star Kapil Sharma, who was recently spotted at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple along with his girlfriend Bhavneet Chatrarth aka Ginni, will be getting married next year, according to reports. The comedian had checked into a Bangalore-based rehabilitation clinic a few weeks ago, allegedly for alcohol addiction. He claims to be fully cured now and is all set to release his second film as the lead actor, Firangi.

A DNA report quoted a source as saying, “There is a lot of pressure from the two families. Ginny’s parents are keen that the couple makes their relationship official. Kapil’s mother also wants him to marry Ginny, whom she is very fond of. Ginny had promised to consider marriage only after Kapil cleaned up his act. Now, that the stand-up comedian is completely off alcohol and in a much more relaxed frame of mind, he too seems to be in the mood to take the plunge.”

Earlier this year, Kapil had revealed his wedding plans to Hindustan Times. “Ginni and I are in love and she is lovely. We are not engaged yet. I will get married next year. I am very happy,” he said.

Kapil had revealed his relationship earlier this year. He took to Twitter in March to introduce Ginni to his fans, “Will not say she is my better half .. she completes me .. love u ginni .. please welcome her .. I love her so much:).” Coincidentally, the same day details of his mid-air fight with co-stars Sunil Grover and Chandan Prabhakar came out, sending Kapil into a spiral of negative publicity and controversies. Eventually, his show was taken off air amid falling TRPs and rumours that he kept leading Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn waiting.

Kapil denied the rumours and opened up about his state of mind in the last few months during Firangi promotions. “I could not step on the stage to perform and would cancel the shoot. I suffered from anxiety and drank myself silly. I would stay locked up in the office with my pet dog. People stopped coming on the show and I went off the radar.”
