Lokesh talks of her equation with Rohan and more after Bigg Boss eviction
In an interview with her after her eviction from Bigg Boss, HT asked Lokesh Kumari about the transition in her temperament, her equation with Rohan, who she is rooting for, if she’ll be friendly with her teammates after the show and why they she thinks she was evicted at all.
Changing allegiance is a common theme for housemates in the Bigg Boss 10 edition. But no one seems to have changed her personality as much as Lokesh Kumari Sharma who was evicted from the popular reality show on Sunday. Her eviction even led the show’s host Salman Khan to ask her why she lost her spark as the weeks progressed.
In an interview with her after her eviction, HT too asked her about the transition in her temperament, her equation with Rohan, who she is rooting for, if she’ll be friendly with her housemates after the show and why they she thinks she was evicted in the first place.
Here are some highlights from the interview:
How shocked were you at your eviction?
It was very shocking for me. No one told us that there will be a double elimination this time and so it was indeed really shocking. But when Salman Khan told us that after Karan, one more person will leave the house, I started feeling that it is going to be me.
Even after Karan’s eviction, everyone in the house was surprised that Karan was evicted before me. They said that I was the first girl who managed to outstay a celebrity. So, I too, started feeling happy that maybe the audience loves me ,but no such luck.
You were a fan favourite in the initial days. Even Salman Khan had high hopes from you. Why do you think your popularity waned towards the end like it did?
Yes, I was a favourite when the show started. But then one day Salman Khan confronted Gaurav Chopra and told everyone to get the weaker contestants eliminated and play with the strong ones to the end. I knew it then that I will be nominated because I am the youngest and the weakest.
But all the celebrities were concerned with their image, they talked to me about my ‘aukat’. I don’t like it at all when someone holds my hand like that.
Do you feel disappointed with Rohan? You had become good friends during the show but at the end he tricked you with that whole bed-switching business.
No, I am not disappointed in him. We were good friends and still are. I know he was the Captain of the house last week and that brought a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders. But if he had said it to me politely then it’d have been better. Yes, he punished me for two hours and we even argued about it but then when I cooked the food, he also lifted the punishment.
I also didn’t nominate him for captaincy. He is fair to everyone and even told me that he always speaks the truth. The arguments did’t affect our friendship.
Who do you think will win now?
I think Manveer should win. Rohan and Manu also have a good chance. However, Manveer had a desi andaaz to him. He gets angry at the slightest provocation and likes to shout and scream. Audience likes such behaviour.
None of the girls?
Maybe Lopa or Bani. I would be happy if a girl wins.
Who was the most intolerable person in the house for you?
I would have to say Gaurav. He would talk to me nicely but it always felt weird to talk to him. He would talk with his eyes. (Laughs) His eyes would always dance here and there when he would talk.
Not Swami Om?
No, no. Guruji and us would always keep cracking jokes. There were no differences.
But how could there be no differences? Did it not bother you when he would say all those inappropriate things about women? The housemates would condemn him at first get back to chilling out with him the very next moment. Like nothing ever happened at all.
See, what they show you on TV are merely 45 minutes out of the 24 hours that we actually spent inside the house. They only showed you the inappropriate things he would say but then he would also tell us that he was talking about Radha-Kishan and their love. There was a positive side to him too. We would think that an elderly man is accepting his fault and we should forgive him.
If anyone took a stand against his comments, it would only be us commoners.
Do you think you will be friends with any of the housemates once the show is over?
Of course.
With whom?
With anyone who wants to be friends with me. Manu, Manveer, Nitibha, my friendship with them will definitely continue in the real world as well.
Yes, the celebs do get busy and if they do not wanna to keep friends with me, I’ll understand that. It will not be a problem.
