A recent episode of Priyanka Chopra’s television show, Quantico, in which ‘Indian nationalists’ plot a terrorist attack in Manhattan with the intention of blaming it on Pakistan, has angered several people online. Fans of the actor and the show posted comments on Twitter slamming their decision to include such a plot.
In the episode, which aired on June 1, an MIT professor acquires uranium with which he plans to make a nuclear bomb. An India-Pakistan summit to be held in New York City is his target.
“I don’t even know what sort of ridiculous narrative was this episode trying to set.. nonsensical stuff,” one person wrote on Twitter. “What kind of stupid a** episode is this??” wrote another.

Mainstreaming fake narrative
#Quantico playing India-Pakistan Game and Priyanka Chopra finds a Rudraksh! Seriously home grown things are shown on international level with Indian narratives. This is something which shivers our nerves.— BhavyaRW (@MeBhavya) June 4, 2018

Thanks @priyankachopra You Are Best.@UnSubtleDesi @jgopikrishnan70 @RubikaLiyaquat
I wonder if "Work VISA" issued by @SushmaSwaraj permits @priyankachopra to spread propaganda narrative via "Quantico" that Indian nationals get involved in planting bombs against a friendly nation US. VISA get cancelled for phony excuses if it's regular people @MEAIndia— Nitish Kumar (@nkumar_) June 4, 2018
Priyanka stars in Quantico as Alex Parrish, who initially was an FBI trainee suspected of being a terrorist. The show also stars Josh Hopkins, Jake McLaughlin, Aunjanue Ellis, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Braddy, Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Anabelle Acosta, Russell Tovey, Pearl Thusi, Blair Underwood, Marlee Matlin and Alan Powell.
Quantico was recently cancelled due to lacklustre ratings. Its third season will be its last. Priyanka, meanwhile, has signed her first Bollywood film in years, the Salman Khan-starrer, Bharat. She most recently appeared in the indie drama, A Kid Like Jake.
