Dilli da munda Anuj Sachdeva, better known as Amrit in popular television soap Sabki Laadli Bebo, turns 27 today. The telly Anuj Sachdevaactor, who has managed to sweep women off their feet with his 'bacelor boy' looks, has no qualms about shedding his single status onscreen. We caught up with this dashing dude as he celebrates his 27th birthday today and got him talking about his birthday plans, his funniest moments on the sets of Sabki Laadli Bebo and more...

How do you plan to celebrate your birthday?
I will celebrate my birthday on the sets of my show Sabki Laadli Bebo with my co-stars. I would also spend time with my fans video chatting with them.

A birthday gift that you are expecting today?
I really wanted my mom to be with me in Mumbai to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately she was unable to make it.

Does shedding the 'bachelor boy' image onscreen bother you? Do you think it will affect your popularity?
Well, it was the characters demand so I really didn't mind shedding the bachelor boy image. Infact right from the start of the show, the viewers wanted me and Bebo to come together. This is will definitely affect my popularity but in a positive way.

If not an actor, what would you be?
I would have been a footwear designer. I always thought I'd be one, but with time, I realised that I might be not a born actor but definitely had an inclination towards acting. So I started working towards my goal, polished my acting skills and now I am totally in love with what I do.

You have also participated in Roadies. How different is the experience being in a daily soap?
The major difference being, Roadies was a reality show, I had no scripts, no fancy clothes, no sets. Here it's a completely different game, learning the dialogues, emoting on screen. However, both the shows really have a special place in my life.

What is your game plan to survive the competition on the small screen?
My game plan is to continue doing good work because I believe there is no alternate for good work. I want to see this show at the top, having the highest TRPs. I would also love to be part of a reality show.

A lover boy or an angry young man?
My character in the soap has different shades and that is what I like about it. Whether I'm playing an angry young man, a lover boy or shedding my tears, I love it all!

You were recently accused for passing a flying kiss to Bebo on the sets. Is that true?
I was actually passing a flying kiss to the hair stylist and Bebo's (Shivshakti's) dad misunderstood me. He yelled at me on the sets for doing so.

Is it difficult being cast opposite a minor?
Yes, it is. Shivshakti (Bebo) is ten years younger to me. I am always the victim, no matter what. I would like to say that I respect her and she knows that very well.

Three things you can't live without...
My parents, my pets and perfumes.

One thing you want to change about yourself.
My mood swings.

The funniest rumour you have heard about yourself.
That I am gay.

One characteristic that makes you a true Libran.
I am a very balanced person. I can easily empathize with people, that's what makes me a true Libran.
