Sanath-Jayasuriya
The cricketer agreed to be part of the show as he loves kids. In the serial, Mohan (Kunal Karan Kapoor) arranges for Addu (Vishesh Bansal), a young cricket aficionado, to meet the legend. And that’s how, the Vyas family will be seen arriving at the Jhalak house.
In the show, Jayasuriya will teach the young Addu batting techniques, while Renu (Rinku Karmarkar) and Nanhi (Ashnoor Kaur) will offer him dancing tips. A source reveals that the actors were impressed by the cricketer’s simple charm. The source adds, “Jayasuriya blushed when the production house complimented his acting skills. Cricket and dance are what’s important in his life right now.”
Though Jayasuriya plays himself in the show, he was camera-shy when mouthing his lines. Earlier in an interview to HT Café, the cricketer had said, “Appearing on TV is a one-off thing which I’m doing because I liked the challenge.”
