The broadcast date of Bigg Boss 11, to be hosted by Salman Khan, is coming closer — so far reported as October 1 — and names of various actors, who’re believed to have been approached for the show, are making the rounds. The latest such name is that of Pehredaar Piya Ki actor Tejasswi Prakash. The TV serial has been scrapped following a controversy over its plot, but Tejasswi has refused the Bigg Boss offer, citing prior commitments.
“Yes, I’ve been approached for Bigg Boss,” Tejasswi confirms. “But I can’t do it, because I have already signed up for my upcoming show, which will replace Pehredaar Piya Ki. I can’t ditch one show for another.” Tejasswi adds that this is the first time she has received an offer from the reality show hosted by Salman Khan.
Aside from being committed to another serial, Tejasswi isn’t ready for Bigg Boss yet. “I don’t think I am ready for the kind of format Bigg Boss follows as of now. It’s an extremely tough show where everyone living in one house fights for food and is made to do difficult tasks etc,” says the actor, who rose to fame with the fiction show Swaragini.
Meanwhile, it seems that the promos of Salman Khan, being released by Bigg Boss makers, are making viewer interest spike. On Friday, Raj Nayak, CEO of Colors, the channel that airs Bigg Boss, shared a 45-second promo on Twitter. It shows Salman Khan watching a cricket match. He is interrupted by a neighbour who wants to watch the match with him. Salman isn’t happy about this, but soon, the entry of another neighbour brings a smile to his face. And she is none other than Mouni Roy. The reaction this promo has received shows that the return of Bigg Boss is eagerly anticipated.
