The Andhra Pradesh BJP chief has promised liquor at ₹70 if the party gets one crore votes. Speaking at a rally in Vijayawada, Somu Veerraju slammed the YSRCP state govt over high alcohol prices, saying 'cheap quality alcohol being sold at higher prices'. The state BJP chief went on to add that 'if we have more revenue left, we will further slash alcohol price to ₹50'. Deputy CM & Andhra excise minister hit out at Veerraju, saying 'is he the state BJP chief or the president of liquor shop owners' association?'
