Biden, Sunak govts issue security alerts for Pak; U.S., UK warn of attack on Marriott Hotel

The United States and the United Kingdom issued an alert over a possible terror attack in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad. The U.S. embassy in Pakistan on Sunday barred its government staff from visiting Islamabad’s Marriott Hotel, saying that "individuals are possibly plotting to attack Americans sometime during the holidays." The UK's Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) also issued a travel advisory barring its officials from travelling to districts like Khyber, Kurram, and North and South Waziristan in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province, etc. Pakistan's capital has been placed on high alert following a suicide bombing two days ago.
