China Embracing Hamas? Beijing’s Clear Message To Israel After First Meet With Haniyeh Since War

Chinese diplomat Keijan Wang met Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar on March 17. This was the first publicly announced meeting between a Hamas and Chinese official since the war in Gaza began on October 7 last year. The Chinese envoy said Beijing was keen on relations with Hamas which it considers a part of Palestinian national fabric.
