A unique library built inside a sinkhole in east China has gone viral online, with netizens dubbing it “China’s Hogwarts” for its magical architecture and atmosphere.
Located in Xian’gao Ancient Town in Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province, the library is almost hidden from view from the outside, blending into the surrounding hillside. Inside, visitors descend a spiral staircase to discover curved architecture, layered bookshelves and warm amber lighting. A timed bubble machine adds to the fantasy-like experience.
