Watch: Teacher thrashed and paraded naked for alleged rape

A 38-year old school teacher was stripped, thrashed and paraded naked on the streets in full public view on Tuesday night for allegedly raping and impregnating a girl student of his school in Eluru town. According to the police, Kare Rambabu, working as an English teacher in a private school, trapped a 16-year old girl studying tenth class in the school six months ago promising to fetch her good marks in the subject. He allegedly raped her several times during this period. Even after she passed out her Class X examinations in April this year and joined a polytechnic college subsequently, he continued to exploit her sexually. Recently, the girl realised that she had become pregnant and she got panicky. She approached Rambabu to find a way out and he reportedly gave her some pills for the termination of pregnancy. When the girl developed severe health complications due to heavy bleeding, her parents admitted her in the hospital, where they came to know that she was pregnant.
