Second batch of Indians, who were stranded in Maldives, en route to India. INS Magar departed from Male with 202 Indians on board, and headed for Kochi. Navy is helping ferry Indians back due to Covid under Operation 'Samudra Setu'. Passengers reportedly paying a certain amount of money as 'evacuation service charge'. Earlier in the day, INS Jalashwa reached Kochi with the first batch of passengers. 698 Indians were brought back from Maldives onboard INS Jalashwa. Meanwhile, over 240 Indians were brought back from Singapore by air. A special flight ferried the passengers from Singapore to Mumbai. The repatriation of Indians is being conducted under Mission 'Vande Bharat'.
