Amid shortage, M.P. lab set to produce Black Fungus drug in India

After a sharp rise in cases of Mucormycosis or Black Fungus, the drug used for its treatment went low on stock in the country. One patient on an average requires 100 vials of the drug Amphotericin-B. Now, apart from other manufacturers, a laboratory in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore is set to start making the injection in India. Indore-based Modern laboratories has acquired a license to make the drug and push it in the market.
