Coronavirus: Markets hit 3-yr low, Economic Advisor says wait till April-end

The Central government's Chief Economic Advisor commented on volatility in financial markets. KV Subramanian blamed the Coronavirus pandemic for global uncertainty which is in turn feeding fear in the markets. He said that as per his current estimates, the 'episode' should abate a bit by April-end. Sensex and Nifty hit three-year lows on Wednesday. Sensex dropped 1,709 points to close at 28,869, while Nifty fell 425 points to close at 8,541. Similar scenes have been witnessed across the world.
