From India banning all flights to and from the United Kingdom over the discovery of a new virus strain, to another variant being found in South Africa - here are the top news updates on the Covid-19 pandemic. South Africa said that it found a new strain of the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus dominant in cases during the second surge of infection. Russia said that it is working with India to produce its Sputnik V vaccine in Indian facilities to be used in the two countries, as well as others.
