Covid update: Vaccine for animals; Covishield’s shelf life extended; USA deaths

From DCGI extending Covishield’s shelf life to Russia’s vaccine for animals, here are the top updates on the coronavirus pandemic. DCGI on Wednesday extended the shelf life of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine Covishield from 6 months to 9 months. The vaccine is being manufactured in India by Serum Institute and is among the two vaccines currently being used in the vaccination process. Meanwhile, Russia registered its first Covid-19 vaccine for animals. The vaccine is called Carnivac-Cov.
