‘New Covid strain seen in UK not found in India so far’: Government
A day after India suspended flight operations to and from the United Kingdom over a new Covid strain, Dr. VK Paul, member (health), NITI Aayog has said that there is no reason to panic. He said that the news strain of the coronavirus which has caused panic in the United Kingdom has not been noticed in India so far. Dr. Paul further added that the new mutation does not seem to affect the severity of the disease or the fatality rate. He further said that as of now there is no change in the treatment guidelines and the development of vaccines will also not be affected. 'As of now, it has no impact on the potential of the emerging vaccines being developed in our country or those available in other countries,' Dr. Paul said. Watch the full video for all the details.
