Maharashtra Chief Minister vowed to help migrant workers in the state reach their hometowns which are situated in other states. Uddhav Thackeray said that while trains will certainly not run, his government was in talks with the administrations of other states to help the migrants. He also promised to help students from Maharashtra stuck in Rajasthan's Kota. On April 14, Mumbai witnessed a major crisis when hundreds of migrant workers collected in Bandra after rumours of a special train to ferry them back home.
