Actors Sanjay Suri and Eisha Chopra emphasise on the need for human touch in a new short film, Call Him Eddy. Directed by Sanjeev Vig, the film released during the coronavirus pandemic, adding more poignancy to its theme. In a freewheeling discussion with Jyoti Sharma Bawa, the team talks about doing a film about a 'professional cuddler' and how a hug does more than what words can ever do. “I told Sanjeev that he should do the movie with or without me,” Sanjay said. In an answer to a question on whether OTTs are democratising content and distribution of cinema in India, the actor said while the medium has its pros, the freedom for creators is slowly falling prey to commercial demands. “Either the banner is big, the lead is big or the director is big, if you don't have any of this… Script to aa jayegi. That attitude is still there,” Sanjay rues.'Call Him Eddy' has been presented by Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films.
