Shamitabh review: Flawed execution fails this unique idea

Director R Balki's directorial venture Shamitabh is about a novel experiment that fails to captivate audiences. Although it is a brave move on his part, the transition from sarcasm to irony in the Amitabh Bachchan, Akshara Haasan, and Dhanush starrer lead to flawed execution. Amitabh Bachchan is the one who runs the show, aptly supported by Dhanush and Akshara. While Akshara Haasan makes an impressive debut, you would be left for wanting more of Dhanush.
