United States President Joe Biden announced $200 million in emergency military aid for Kyiv during his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky’s Washington visit. The amount, however, is nothing compared to the $60 billion aid package that Biden is struggling to get U.S. Congress’ approval. Both Zelensky and Biden urged for bipartisan support in the opposition-ruled House of Representatives. Ukraine is reportedly running out of war money to continue fighting Russia, and the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza has only weakened western support for Kyiv.
