Budget: Bid to lower NBFC liquidity crisis; Rs 70k cr boost for PSU banks

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first budget of the second term of the Narendra Modi government on Friday. She said that the financial gains from cleaning of banking system are clearly visible and that NPA reduced by over Rs 1 lakh crore last year. Sitharaman added that the government will bring remedy against cash being deposited without bank holders' knowledge.
