Class 9 student Srijal to watch Chandrayaan 2’s Moon landing with PM Modi

Srijal Chandrakar, a class 9 student from Mahasamund in Chhattisgar, will watch Chandrayaan 2 descend on the lunar surface in the company of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Srijal is one of 60 students selected for the unparalleled experience. Chandrayaan 2 is expected to land on the Moon on September 7, 2019. India's most ambitious space mission till date involves an unprecedented soft landing attempt on a heavenly body. India will be the first nation to explore the Moon's south pole. Chandrayaan 2 has been sending back photographs of the Earth and Moon since its launch on July 22, 2019.
