‘Contraband’ cough syrup: 1,000 bottles caught in Tripura, cops arrest 3

Over a thousand bottles of cough syrup classified as 'contraband' were seized in Tripura on August 21, as per reports. Police said they stopped the truck carrying the consignment after a tip-off. The vehicle was searched at a checkpoint leading to the discovery of its illegal goods. Police said they arrested three people in relation with the case. The incident occurred in Tripura's Chandrapur area.
