Countdown for ISRO’s GSLV-Mark III rocket launch begins

Aiming for a greater share of multi-billion dollar global space market and to reduce dependency on international launching vehicles, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to launch its most powerful rocket GSLV-Mark III. Capable of transporting a heavier four-ton communications satellite, GSLV-Mark III launch is described as a game-changer in the first of its kind space mission. The satellite will be launched into geo synchronous orbit from Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota at 5: 28 pm on Monday.
